#159 - Comma Day 5k Celebration / The Return of The Keep Calm And Run To The Best You 5k

Episode #159 In this week’s blog/podcast we will join Jessica Young live on location at the Comma Day 5k Celebration in Absecon, NJ! Coach Tadris started a mile-per-day streak in November 2019, and it culminated on day 1,000, with the return of the Keep Calm And Run To The Best You 5k!

On the podcast, Jessica interviews local fans of the show who came out to support the cause. The return of the Keep Calm and Run To The Best You 5k raised funds for children with disabilities. South Jersey Field of Dreams is an organization that helps children with disabilities and their families enjoy an American pastime; BASEBALL!

In this blog, I will share some photos from the event and thank our participants, members, and sponsors. I’m so grateful for the turnout, and the opportunity to be alive through a lot of tough moments throughout this streak.

My name is Coach Tadris Parker, I have a passion for helping people become healthier one step at a time. My podcast is designed to help share stories of everyday people that are doing amazing things with their health through running, walking, and following a whole food approach. I have proven programs that have helped hundreds of people since 2013. Whether it’s our beginners RUNA5K program, our Run/Walk Club for semi-experienced runners looking to improve, or my NEW 1-2-1 Coaching Calls to help with the mindset around your fitness goals. All programs can be done in person or online. My blogs are my shorthand notes for the podcast.

Thanks for checking out this week’s post.

THE Camera catches a light moment between THE coach and young runner

I’ve seen some cool posts about people running on their Comma Day but I never saw one as cool as this one. Where a whole community came together to run a 5k on someone’s Comma Day. This was my comma day! There was a DJ, local running teams, and pizza.

This streak has seen me run several half marathons, a 4x4x48 in which I raised money for children with Autism. (FACES4AUTISM) That's 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 straight hours.

This streak took me to my first full marathon in January 2022, in Orlando Florida.
